To achieve its ambitious mandate, CIGI supports research initiatives by recognized experts and promising academics; forms networks that link world class minds across disciplines; informs and shapes the dialogue among scholars, opinion leaders, key policy-makers, and the concerned public; and builds capacity by supporting excellence in policy-related scholarship.

As a leading international think tank, CIGI is working to deepen intellectual resources in support of the overall effectiveness and legitimacy of multilateral policy-making. Led by a group of experienced practitioners and distinguished academics, CIGI brings an international and interdisciplinary approach to knowledge exchange on current global economic, institutional, diplomatic and security issues.
