Previously, Dr. Clapp has held positions including: chair, International Development Studies Program, Trent University; board member, web manager and newsletter editor, Society for Women in International Political Economy (SWIPE)  member of Sprout Award Committee and Executive Committee of the Environmental Studies Section of the International Studies Association; and editor, Global Development Section Newsletter, International Studies Association.
